Sources of data:
We collect data directly from you when you submit forms (Scorecard, Contact, Strategy Clarity Session request, and newsletter subscription). We also collect certain technical data automatically when you access the website. Where non-essential cookies are used (such as analytics), the related data is collected only after you provide consent through our cookie settings.
Whether you must provide data:
Providing technical data is necessary to use the website. Providing form data (Scorecard, Contact, Strategy Clarity Session request, newsletter subscription) is optional, but if you do not provide it, we will not be able to provide the requested report, respond to your message, arrange the requested session, or send the newsletter. Analytics consent is optional and not required to use the website.

To send the Meterknot Insights newsletter and other marketing emails you choose to receive: consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us.
To measure and understand website usage using Google Analytics 4 (only after you consent to analytics cookies): consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by changing your cookie preferences.
To protect the website and our systems, including monitoring for security issues and preventing fraud or abuse: legitimate interest.
Who We Share Your Data With
We share personal data only where necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including with the following recipients:
Hosting and infrastructure (Hetzner Online, Finland): our website runs on servers operated by Meterknot in Hetzner Online’s data centre in Finland. This is necessary to host and deliver the website and its content.
Google (Google Ireland Ltd): we use Google Tag Manager to manage website tags and Google Analytics 4 to measure website usage, but Google Analytics 4 runs only after you consent to analytics cookies. Data shared with Google is processed in accordance with Google’s privacy policy.
Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France): we use Brevo to manage newsletter subscriptions and to deliver emails sent by the website (such as the newsletter and other email communications you request or consent to receive). Data shared with Brevo is processed in accordance with Brevo’s privacy policy.
Microsoft (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd): we use Microsoft 365 for business email communications, including responding to enquiries and requests. Data shared with Microsoft is processed in accordance with Microsoft’s privacy policy.
We use our own consent management system (Trustwards) to record and manage your cookie preferences. This data is processed internally and not shared with third parties.
International Data Transfers
Some of our service providers are located outside the EU/EEA, specifically in the United States, or may use sub-processors outside the EU/EEA.
Google Analytics data: Google Analytics 4 is provided by Google Ireland Ltd, and related data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF).
Microsoft and Brevo: Microsoft and Brevo may use sub-processors outside the EU under the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Our consent management system (Trustwards) is based in Spain (EU), so consent data is not transferred internationally.

Your Rights
If you are in the EU/EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to:
Access your personal data.
Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Delete your personal data (the “right to be forgotten”).
Restrict our processing of your personal data.
Receive a copy of certain personal data you provided to us in a structured, commonly used format and have it transmitted to another controller where technically feasible (data portability).
Object to processing based on our legitimate interests, including where you believe your rights and freedoms outweigh our interests.
Withdraw your consent at any time where we rely on consent (this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal).
Not be subject to automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects or similarly significantly affects you.
To exercise your rights, contact us at contact@meterknot.com. We will respond within one month.
Automated Decision-Making
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects or similarly significantly affects you.
Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed at children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, or access. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Breach Notification
In the event of a personal data breach that poses a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you without undue delay. Our notification will describe the nature of the breach, the likely consequences, and the measures taken or proposed to address it. We maintain procedures to detect, report, and investigate security incidents. If you suspect a security issue, please contact us at contact@meterknot.com.
How to Lodge a Complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority in your jurisdiction. As our establishment is in Greece, you may also lodge a complaint with the Greek supervisory authority. We encourage you to contact us first at contact@meterknot.com so we can try to resolve your concern directly.
Updates to This Policy
We review and update this Privacy Policy periodically. The “Last updated” date at the top of this policy indicates when changes were last made. If we make significant changes, we will provide notice on the website and, where appropriate, by email. Changes take effect from the date indicated at the top of this policy. Where processing is based on consent, we will request new consent when required.
The Growth System Scorecard
When you take the Scorecard, your answers are scored on this website and your result shows on screen. No email address is needed for that.
If you ask for the full report, we store your answers, your result and your email address, create a private report link and a PDF, and send them to you by email. The report link is not listed anywhere and is not indexed by search engines. We keep the result and the report for 24 months; after that they are deleted automatically.
The score is a self-assessment. It is not a decision about you and has no legal or similar effect.
If you also choose to receive Meterknot Insights, your email address is added to the newsletter only after you confirm it from the email we send (double opt-in).
Contact and Strategy Clarity Session requests
When you send the Contact form or request a Strategy Clarity Session, we use the details you give (name, email, company, role, and website, message or situation) to reply to you and, for a Clarity Session, to arrange it. This is a step you ask us to take before any contract.
Your request is stored on our website and sent to our mailbox, with an automatic reply to you. We keep requests for 24 months from submission.
The forms stop spam with a hidden field and a time check; no third-party anti-spam service is used.
Meterknot Insights newsletter
If you subscribe, your email address (and your first name, if you give it) is kept in our Brevo account. You are added only after you confirm from the email we send (double opt-in). Every issue has an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time. We keep your address until you unsubscribe.
Email the website sends
Form notifications, automatic replies and Scorecard reports are delivered through Brevo's email service. Our mailboxes are on Microsoft 365.
Once a week the website checks Brevo's list of blocked addresses, so that we know when someone has asked not to receive our email.
Hosting and logs
This website runs on servers operated by Meterknot in Hetzner Online's data centre in Finland. When a page is not found, we record only the address that was requested, not who requested it, so we can repair broken links.
